EDITOR'S NOTE: We continue to seek clarification on the impact of the Supervisors' ruling today and what it means for businesses in Menifee. It remains a confusing issue and we will post a complete story tomorrow as soon as we have more information from sources.
The Riverside County Board of Supervisors has voted unanimously to rescind county orders requiring face coverings and social distancing. The action also eliminates restrictions on golf courses and short-term rentals. K-12 schools will remain closed through June 19, however.
The approved motion also includes a proposal by Supervisor Kevin Jeffries that will "strongly recommend" local businesses abide by "principals for a safe and accelerated re-opening." The actual wording of that document has not been released, but in essence it allows individual businesses to determine the best way to safely re-open in their circumstances.
