Menifee residents at many sites in and around the city enjoyed a flyover by a C-17 cargo aircraft and KC-135 Stratotanker as the 452nd Air Mobility Wing and host unit from March Air Reserve Base participated in the #AirForceSalutes portion of #AmericaStrong Thursday.
The event, which included flyovers in multiple locations, honors healthcare workers, first responders and other essential employees who are on the front lines in the battle against COVID-19. The C-17 made the initial flyover of each of location 19 areas, followed three minutes later by the KC-135, before returning to Mark Field.
The first flyover was over Menifee Global Medical Center about 1 p.m., followed a flyover at the Kaiser Permamente facility in Murrieta and Loma Linda Medical Center in Murrieta.
