Local high schools plan 'Drive Thru Diploma Pickup' events

In addition to broadcasting virtual graduation ceremonies, all three Menifee high schools will hold “drive thru” events to present diplomas to students as they pull up in their cars.

Heritage High School announced on its Facebook page that a “Drive Thru Diploma Pickup” will be held June 4 from 8 a.m. to noon. Each senior will be able to bring one vehicle to the pickup. Seniors are encouraged to bring family members in the vehicle, wear their cap and gown, and decorate their vehicle to “show pride in your accomplishments.”

A counselor will read the name of each graduate as the diploma is presented and a photo will be taken to capture the moment. Students will be assigned arrival times based on their last name. Cap and gowns will be available for pickup on May 20. Details can be found on the Heritage High School Facebook page.

Paloma Valley High School will hold its drive thru pickup on June 5 from 8-10:30 a.m. The format will be the same as the Heritage event. Details can be found on the Paloma Valley High School Facebook page.

Santa Rosa Academy will hold a “Diploma Distribution Cruise” on May 27. Details will be emailed to students.
