Four men were arrested and more than 2,500 marijuana plants were eradicated when Sheriff's deputies were summoned to a location in Winchester in response to a report of stolen property, authorities said.
Deputies responded to the 30900 block of Epiplaneia Way about 11:54 a.m. on Tuesday, according to a news release. The owner of a stolen light tower reported that it was sighted at the location and called it into police.
Deputies detained four individuals and discovered the large illegal marijuana grow. During the investigation, they also located the light tower, which was being used to help power the residence on the property and provide power to the illegal grow operation. Those arrested for possession of stolen property and illegal marijuana cultivation were:
Fernando Orozco Salgado, 31
Lionel Orozco, 27
Ranferi Barreto, 29
Saul Barreto Orozco, 22
The four men were cited and released. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact Deputy Robbie Macalino at 951-210-1000.
