Female passenger on off-road vehicle dies in collision

A female passenger on an off-road vehicle died Thursday night when the ORV collided with a Ford F-350 pickup truck at in intersection in the Quail Valley community in Menifee, authorities said.

The collision was reported at 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of Cassandra Drive and Mountain View Place, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. The passenger, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's age and identity have not been released.

The accident is under investigation by the Menifee Traffic Reconstruction Team. No arrests were made and no other injuries were reported.
