Third death from COVID-19 reported in Menifee

The third death in Menifee from the coronavirus was announced today by the Riverside County Health Department.

The victim was a male in his 80s, according to County spokesperson Brooke Federico. No other details about the deceased are available. This follows the first Menifee death, a male in his 70s announced on April 6; and the second death, a male in his 40s announced on April 18.

There were two more confirmed cases in Menifee reported today, bringing the total to 91.

County-wide, there were 124 new reported cases for an updated total of 3,084. Deaths in the county increased six to 99.

A total of 250 are now hospitalized, an increase of 10. That includes 81 in ICU -- an increase of nine.

The total recovered is now 789, an increase of 32.
