The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department today announced the first death of one of its deputies from the coronavirus.
Terrell Young was a 15-year veteran of the department, according to an announcement on Twitter which also stated, “We are saddened to announce the passing of one of our own RSO family members, Deputy Terrell Young. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones during this difficult time.”
Young began his career with the department in 2005 and served at the Perris Station as well as the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta, according to a report in the Riverside Press-Enterprise. He is survived by his wife and four children.
