In response to the concerns of many about anxiety and stress during the coronavirus stay-at-home order, a behavioral therapist is offering free services via phone call to Menifee residents.
Daniel Acosta, a registered associate marriage and family therapist, operates a private practice in Mission Viejo but lives in Menifee and will soon open an office here. Acosta told Menifee 24/7 he would like to reach out to local residents by offering pro bono therapy sessions for anxiety related to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent order to residents to stay at home.
Menifee 24/7 has verified Acosta’s background and credentials and is offering free media coverage to Acosta to accommodate his request to help others.
Here is Acosta’s message to the residents of Menifee:
“My name is Daniel Acosta. I am a Desert Shield and Desert Storm USMC Combat Veteran and I am a registered associate marriage and family therapist [Registration No. 93817] in private practice in Mission Viejo, soon to be relocating my private practice to Menifee. I wanted to do my part to help, and I am offering until the end of April Pro Bono COVID-19 anxiety reduction teletherapy services.
“If anyone is feeling an increase in symptoms of stress and anxiety due to the recent coronavirus pandemic and are local to the area, I am providing free teletherapy services for anxiety reduction until the end of April 2020.
“Please note: This Pro Bono work is for anxiety reduction associated with COVID-19 only. Other issues that potential clients are seeking treatment for will not qualify. I want to make sure to serve this pandemic as a priority in the present. Not all can be treated, as I do fill up quickly, but I will do my best and work extended hours to serve our community residents.
“This is a limited-time offering from 3/17/2020 to 4/30/2020 based on availability and schedule. I will work extended hours and do my best to offer help to all residents as long as I have room in the schedule to book you for a teletherapy session. Please call 949-943-7820 to schedule your session.”
Acosta works in private practice with men, women, and adolescents and provides individual, couples, pre-marital, family and marital therapy. You can learn more about Acosta and his services on his website here.
