County announces first death in Menifee from COVID-19

The Riverside County Health Department today announced the first death of a Menifee resident due to the coronavirus.

The victim was a man in his 70s, said Brooke Federico, public information officer for Riverside County. She said she had no other information about the victim to report. County details about the number of COVID-19 cases can be viewed here, Menifee now has 35 confirmed cases of COVID-19 -- three more than Sunday.

The total number of cases reported in Riverside County today was 946 -- 147 more than the day before. There have now been 25 deaths in the county. For the third straight day, the number of people recovered from the virus remains listed as 60.

Today's totals also includes the first deaths in Murrieta and Lake Elsinore.
