Sheriff's deputies have arrested a suspect in a Jan. 24 traffic collision that killed two people on Railroad Canyon Road, authorities said.
Jose Luis Sepulveda, 33, of Lake Elsinore faces four felony charges including second degree murder and DUI causing great bodily injury, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. He also faces 16 misdemeanor counts. Sepulveda was arrested on Thursday and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of $2 million bail.
Sepulveda's arrest is related to a late-night accident on Railroad Canyon Road just west of Goetz Road. According to the Sheriff's Department investigation, a vehicle traveling east collided with the back of a vehicle. One of the vehicles crossed over the center divider and collided with a westbound vehicle. Two occupants in that vehicle were pronounced dead.
