A Menifee man faces charges of violating state parole and possession of a controlled substance after being found hiding in a Sun City neighborhood on Wednesday, authorities said.
Raul Antunez, 51, was found hiding inside a detached building in the 22900 block of Thornhill Drive when deputies responded at 11 a.m. to a report of trespassing, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. A records checked indicated that Antunez was a parolee at large. He also was found to be in possession of 5.5 grams of methamphetamine.
Antunez was booked into the Southwest Detention Center, where he awaits a March 27 trial date. Anyone with additional information should contact Deputy Robert Wilson or Deputy Charles Burgin at the Perris Sheriff’s Station by calling 951-210-1000.
