Man dies in single-vehicle rollover crash on I-15

A Wildomar man died today in a single-vehicle rollover accident on the 15 Freeway at Bundy Canyon Road, authorities said.

The 63-year-old man, whose identity has not been released, was traveling southbound on the freeway just north of Bundy Canyon Road in the No. 3 lane at about 65-70 mph during rainy conditions, according to a CHP news release. At about 11:15 a.m., his 2017 Toyota Highlander drifted off the freeway and down an embankment, rolling over and landing in the eastbound traffic lanes of Bundy Canyon Road. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The eastbound lanes of Bundy Canyon Road remained closed during the investigation, which is ongoing.
