A man was treated at a local hospital for burns suffered in what authorities say was the explosion of a butane honey oil lab today in Menifee.
Sheriff's deputies responded at 11:45 a.m. to a residence in the 24900 block of Ridgemoor Road, according to Deputy Robyn Flores. They located an adult male and female suffering from injuries. No one else was injured and no other structures impacted.
Fire Department crews responded to extinguish a fire in the garage of the residence. The area was marked off with police tape as a crime scene. The investigation revealed the presence of a lab processing honey oil, which is extracted from marijuana. The investigation is ongoing.
