City Council to consider hotel, restaurant at Hwy 74, Trumble

The Menifee City Council will hold a public hearing at its Jan. 15 meeting to consider the proposal for a 5-acre commercial center to be located at the corner of Highway 74 and Trumble Road on the northern border of Menifee.

The project, to be called the On Deck center, is located just south of the Drop Zone water park and Field of Dreams baseball complex, which are actually in Perris. This project was previously recommended for approval by the Planning Commission.

The project proposes four commercial parcels:

-- A 108-room, 3-story hotel

-- A 5,500-square-foot restaurant

-- A 3,000-square-foot drive-thru restaurant

-- A gas station, convenience store and car wash

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 28944 Haun Road.
