Three suspects were arrested Monday in connection with a string of vehicle burglaries in a Menifee neighborhood, authorities said.
Sheriff's deputies responded to the 29000 block of Citation Avenue at 7:01 a.m., according to a news release. The reporting party told officers he was awakened by barking dogs and saw three individuals in a blue truck parked in front of his house. One person was running from his driveway back to the truck. The caller went outside and saw the suspects going from house to house, going through neighbors' vehicles.
Deputies detained three suspects, who were identified by the calling party. Several neighbors reported that their vehicles had just been burglarized. Numerous items of stolen property were discovered in the suspects' truck.
The suspects were identified as Frank Avila, 19, of San Jacinto; Gerlando Adkins, 21, of Hemet; and Ryan Damian, 19, of Hemet. All three were booked on suspicion of vehicle burglary, conspiracy and possession of stolen property.
