The suspect who fled the scene of a shooting in Menifee on Dec. 5 was later located in Long Beach and faces a charge of attempted murder, authorities said today.

Antonio Corleon Jimenez, 21, of Long Beach was taken into custody the day after the shooting and is being held at the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta with bail set at $1 million, according to jail records. He faces a court hearing on Wednesday in the Riverside Hall of Justice.

Sheriff's deputies responded at 9:02 p.m. Dec. 5 to the report of a shooting in the 27000 block of Boston Drive, according to a news release. An adult male was located with a gunshot wound, was transported to a local hospital and was treated and released.
