A Menifee man faces four felony counts including corporal injury and terrorist threats after his arrest at a residence where a cache of guns, ammunition and explosive devices were found Tuesday, authorities said.
Timothy Rarick, 56, is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail at the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta, according to jail records. He faces two felony counts of terrorist threats and two counts of corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant.
Sheriff's deputies responded at 5:36 a.m. to a report of domestic violence at a residence in the 28000 block of Richfield Circle in Menifee, according to a news release. Deputies learned during the investigation about the large cache of weapons and explosive devices inside the residence. A restraining order was obtained to prohibit Rarick from possessing firearms, ammunition, or magazines.
As the investigation continued, members of the Sheriff's Department Hazardous Device Team responded to the residence and recovered seven improvised explosive devices. Also recovered were 15 guns and several thousand rounds of ammunition. Rarick was arrested at 5:15 p.m., according to jail records.
