This school year, Menifee 24/7 honors deserving athletes in high school varsity sports in season as Athletes of the Month. Each head coach is asked to select one athlete each month for this honor.
Many teams had already completed their fall seasons by early November or didn't respond to our requests, so the list is small but has two deserving honorees for November Athletes of the Month:
Blake Hauser, football, Paloma Valley: Hauser, a junior, had an impressive first year as the Wildcats' starting quarterback. He capped that off by leading Paloma Valley to a 24-21 win over Valley View Nov. 1 in the team's season finale. Hauser passed for 125 yards and a touchdown and ran for 100 yards and another touchdown in that game.
Nicole Dallin, tennis, Paloma Valley: Dallin served as captain of the Wildcats' girls tennis team and earned first-team all-league honors. She was also part of Paloma Valley's No. 1 doubles team, which represented the school in the CIF individual playoffs.
The next Athlete of the Month honors will be announced at the end of January. Coaches of winter sports will be contacted at that time for their selections.
