The Menifee City Council on Wednesday honored retiring Sheriff's Captain Greg Fellows. Having spent 29 years in law enforcement, Fellows was most recently in charge of the Sheriff's Department Perris station, which includes coverage of Menifee.

"It's been an honor to serve this city," Fellows said. "City staff has been very supportive, and the residents of Menifee have been unbelievably supportive of the Sheriff's Department and the men and women who work for us."

The Sheriff's Department will continue to provide services for Menifee until July 1, 2020, when the newly forming Menifee Police Department will take over.
