An encore performance of "You Can't Take it With You" will take place Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
The Heritage High School Drama department is presenting their upcoming fall play "You Can't Take It With You"!
Written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, this screwball comedy centers around the Sycamore family, a family that does whatever makes them happy, no matter what it is! The house is full of non-stop chaos, whether it be snakes, fireworks, plays, or ballet lessons!
Among this, there is the young Wall Street secretary, Alice Sycamore. When Alice falls for Tony Kirby, the son of their company's CEO, she must help her family leave a good first impression on the aristocratic Kirby family. Throughout the laughter and silliness of this play, there are underlying messages about love, family, and doing what you're passionate about.
Heritage High Drama's director, Greg Newman, says, "Kaufman & Hart's 'You Can't Take It With You' is a valentine to free spirits, love, and life. Having directed the play once before with a wonderful cast, I finally felt it was time to revisit its hopeful message, and see a new cast of amazing young actors bring it to life once again. This play is truly funny, truly human, and full of heart."
"You Can't Take It With You" will be showing Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 General and $6 Student. The Heritage High Theatre is located at 26000 Briggs Road, Menifee.
