Habit for Humanity Inland Valley recently placed a family of six in a remodeled three-bedroom, two-bath home in Menifee. The Coria family is one of more than 33 families who have participated in the Habitat for Humanity Homeownership program.
The Coria’s have been on a waiting list since 2017. In addition to assisting on the renovation of their dream home, they also spent many hours assisting at the ReStore and helping another family on a home build in Lake Elsinore.
“We are so excited to be able to celebrate the dream of homeownership with the Coria family,” said Tammy Marine, executive director of Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley. “They are a hard-working family who have worked diligently to get to this pivotal moment.
“Stabilizing families and helping them thrive is the cornerstone of our program. We are in the midst of an affordable housing crisis and one family at a time, we are elevating families, so they have a safe, affordable place to live. We need to do more of this!”
Menifee Mayor Bill Zimmerman attended the family’s official welcome to the community.
“We are so thankful that Habitat for Humanity of Inland Valley chose our city to showcase how we can create affordable housing for our residents,” Zimmerman said. “I look forward to watching them grow and thrive in our wonderful city.”
