$10,000 reward offered for info in Menifee murder case

The parents of a Menifee man murdered in front of his home last June are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the killing.

Claudell Walter, 38, was shot to death in front of his home on Light Sails Court at 9:50 p.m. on June 1, according to police. He had just returned home from coaching a basketball game in Orange County when an unknown individual approached and shot him twice. Walter was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Walter, a husband and father of two, was well known in the community for his leadership in youth sports. The Sheriff's Homicide Department is investigating the case but no suspect has been taken into custody.
