Public invited to celebrate Marine Corps 244th birthday

Temecula Valley VFW Post 4089 and Southwest Riverside County Marine Corps League Detachment 1057 will celebrate the 244th birthday of the United States Marine Corps on Nov. 10. The public is invited.

Marines, FMF Corpsmen, FMF Chaplains, fellow Veterans, and friends of the Marine Corps will attend the event, which begins at 11 a.m. at Temecula Valley VFW Post 4089 (28075 Diaz Road in Temecula). Come enjoy the celebration, comraderie, and chow, which will be provided by Southwest Riverside County Marine Corps League Detachment 1057 for a nominal $10 donation.

The bar will have drink specials. There will be raffles. Guest Speaker is Colonel (Ret) Michael M. Frazier, USMC (Former 11th Marines Commanding Officer). Chow start at noon and the ceremony begins at 1 p.m.
