A Menifee woman was booked on drug charges Monday after deputies making a traffic stop discovered outstanding warrants and drugs in her vehicle, authorities said.
Christina Marie Quintero, 25, faces a felony charge of transportation for sales of methamphetamine and heroin, according to jail records. She is also charged with six misdemeanor counts, including being under the influence of a controlled substance and writing fictitious checks. She is due in court Wednesday in Murrieta.
Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop on a gold 1999 Acura for a vehicle code violation at 6:30 p.m. on Jefferson Avenue at Rancho California Road in Temecula, according to a news release. A records check showed Quintero had several outstanding arrest warrants for narcotics related offenses, plus a suspended drivers license.
A search of the vehicle revealed 118 grams of methamphetamine, 2.4 grams of heroin, 70.4 grams of marijuana, 10 hydrocodone pills, packaging, a digital scale and other items associated with the sale of narcotics. During processing at the Cois Byrd Detention Center, an additional 24.5 grams of heroin were discovered hidden on Quintero's person, police said.
