Teter runs for 193 yards in Heritage's 14-7 victory

Kenny Teter ran for 193 yards and a touchdown Thursday night to help lead the Heritage High School football team to a 14-7 victory over host Santiago High in Corona.

Heritage (3-2) controlled the ball for much of the night and took a 7-0 lead in the second quarter on a 26-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Tyler Basham to Dominic Cyr and Dominic Chacon's PAT kick. Much of Heritage's offense was the ground game, however, and that produced a TD in the fourth quarter when Teter ran 46 yards for a score and a 14-0 lead.

Santiago's only touchdown came with four minutes remaining when Calin Marshall ran eight yards for a touchdown.

Heritage will be at home next Friday against Elsinore.
