At Shady Lane Daycare, we fully understand the anxiety, stress, and guilt that can wash over parents and guardians who are looking for outside care for their children. We know how difficult it can be to trust anyone other than yourselves to look after something so precious. Which is why at Shady Lane Daycare we promise to give your child nothing short of a home away from home experience, because we believe that it is only when both the child and parent/guardian feel respected, protected, and heard that true learning can begin.
“I have known Ms.Tonette and have used her daycare, Shady Lane, for nearly a decade!” says Kelly Broad. “Not only did she teach my oldest daughter from preschool age up, she also watched and taught my second daughter from the age of 3 months old. “When I drop off my daughter I know she is loved, safe, learning, and happy,” says long time Shady Lane parent, Heatherlee Chan. “She gets exposure to new things and other children, both of which will help her to grow into a well rounded little girl.”
At Shady Lane we believe that empathy for others and the courage to explore new things should be stapled into the children’s daily schedules. That art goes hand in hand with science, that baking is nothing short of math equations, and that imagination should always be championed and deeply encouraged.
“There are not enough good things I can say about Ms. Tonette,” says previous parent of Shady Lane, Venissa Fowler. “She has structure, patience and passion for what she does and her kids. She gave her group time and individual time and helped build my daughter’s confidence in her fundamentals. My daughter was always taken care of to the fullest and I always felt she was in good hands.”
