Menifee man arrested for lewd conduct in marketplace

A Menifee man was arrested on charges of lewd conduct in public after multiple incidents Saturday in Countryside Marketplace, authorities said.

Vincent Flores, 31, allegedly approached women in the parking lot and asked if they would engage in sexual intercourse with him, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. He was also seen looking inside vehicles, and one person reported that he tried to open her car door while she was inside the vehicle.

When deputies arrived at the location at Newport Road and Haun Road at 11:37 a.m., they located and detained Flores in front of Kohls department store. It was determined that lewd conduct in a public place had occurred. He was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on a misdemeanor charge of lewd conduct with bail set at $2,500. He has a Sept. 5 court date at the Southwest Justice Center.
