Ackerman sworn in as Parks, Recreation, Trails Commissioner

Bill Ackerman was sworn in Wednesday night as the newest member of the Menifee Parks, Recreation and Trails Commission. He replaces Marty Rosen, who passed away recently.

Ackerman, a retired teacher in the Menifee Union School District, is active in the community and together with his wife Colleen runs the annual Community Barn Dance, which generates donations to a local food bank.

The Parks, Recreation and Trails Commission meets twice monthly and makes recommendations to the City Council on the operation, use and managements of parks, trails and open space in the city.
