Armed suspect robs Menifee credit union, remains at large

A male suspect robbed the California Coast Credit Union in Menifee at gunpoint Friday, getting away with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police and witnesses.

The incident occurred at about 1 p.m. at the business, located in the 3000 block of Haun Road, which is the Town Center Marketplace at Haun Road and Newport Road. An adult male wearing a mask entered the business, demanded money while displaying a firearm and fled with the cash prior to deputies' arrival, according to a Sheriff's Department news release.

Witnesses told Menifee 24/7 that cash was scattered around the parking lot as the suspect fled. Deputies searched the area but did not locate the suspect. No one was injured.
