In response to the many fatal traffic accidents involving DUI in the area, a group has scheduled a community discussion on the topic for this Thursday, June 13, at 7 p.m. at Monteleone Meadows in Murrieta. Residents from all surrounding areas are invited to attend.

"The outrage is rising as more and more deaths occur, and it's time to change the laws, ask for more enforcement, brainstorm, and set an action plan," said Karen Kools-Mclaughlin, one of the event organizers.

Guest speakers at the event will include Officer Mike Lassig of the CHP, Deputy District Attorney Matt Strickroth, and representatives of the Sheriff's Department, Murrieta Police Department and Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez's office.
