Menifee woman dies in single-vehicle accident on 215

A Menifee woman died Wednesday in a single-vehicle accident on the northbound 215 Freeway just north of the Highway 74 exit, authorities said.

Delfina Corona Salinas, 71, was identified by the Coroner's Office as the victim in the accident, which took place about 3:52 p.m., according to a CHP news release. The victim was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer in the No. 3 lane at an undetermined speed when the vehicle veered to the right onto the dirt shoulder, rolled over and collided with a chain link fence.

The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. No other details were available.
