'Stamp out Hunger' event scheduled for May 11

May 11 is the annual "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive, sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers. In past years, local carriers have collected as much as 20,000 pounds of food.

Leave a bag of nonperishable food items by your mailbox that day and the letter carrier will deliver it to the Menifee Valley Community Cupboard for processing. Volunteers also are needed at the Cupboard to help handle the donations that come in.
