MSJC Gala to raise funds for students, honor individuals

The Mt. San Jacinto College Foundation will host its 11th Annual Gala fundraiser to benefit MSJC students April 6 at 6 p.m. at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula.
The Gala features a James Bond theme and a short MSJC Foundation film. Six individuals and companies will be honored for their contributions in the community, including:
-- Micah Orloff, an MSJC alumnus who is the Dean of Academic Computing, Technology & Distance Education, will receive the Eagle Excellence award.
-- Julie Venable, an MSJC alumna who worked at MSJC for 25 years and recently retired as Dean of Administrative Services/Controller, will also receive an Eagle Excellence Award.
-- Craig Davis, MSJC alumnus who launched a Farmers Insurance Agency that has served local residents for more than 30 years, will receive the Outstanding Alumni award.
-- San Jacinto Valley Women's Conference, a nonprofit that awards scholarships to many local women, will receive the Outstanding Community Group award.
-- CR&R Environmental Services, a successful waste and recycling collection company, will receive the Outstanding Community Business award.
-- Balfour Beatty Construction will receive the Outstanding Corporate Partner award.
