Four Menifee residents were among seven people arrested for outstanding warrants during the service of a search warrant in Menifee on Thursday, authorities said.
The operation included officers from the Menifee Special Enforcement Team, Perris SET, Gang Task Force Region 6, Lake Elsinore Problem Oriented Policing, and Riverside Auto Theft & Interdiction Detail, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. Those officers arrived at a residence in the 26000 block of Byers Road at 9 a.m on Thursday.
Several adults were detained. Lucas Rutledge, 37, of Menifee was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm and suspected methamphetamine. Five additional firearms were located during a search of the property. Rutledge was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and for being under the influence of methamphetamine while armed.
Chris Rutledge, 41, of Menifee was arrested for possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition and violation of probation. Five other individuals on site were also found to have outstanding warrants for various charges. They are:
Jeremie Talbot, 29, of Menifee
Anthony Larner, 41 of Menifee
James Ellis, 40, of Banning
Crystal Skroch, 35, of Wildomar
Ashley Bertelson, 36, of Temecula
All seven suspects were booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta. Anyone with additional information should call Deputy R. Thornock at the Perris Station, 951-210-1000.
