Road closure announced for March 23 Soap Box Derby

The Soap Box Derby returns to Menifee March 23, providing a fun event for participants and spectators but also requiring a road closure.

Menifee Road will be closed between Craig Avenue and Holland Road from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day, the City of Menifee announced. The intersections of Glencoe Way at Menifee Road and Legacy Way at Menifee Road will also be closed.

Competitors have designed and built their own race cars to roll down the hill, two at a time, in various categories. This popular event always involves both youngsters and their families. It is sponsored by Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District in partnership with the City of Menifee.
