Paloma Valley High School's impressive girls volleyball season came to an end Saturday night with a loss at top-seeded Ontario Christian in the third round of the CIF State playoffs.

The Wildcats lost in three sets, 25-18, 25-20, 25-21, finishing the season with a 28-8 record. In putting together its best season ever, Paloma Valley was undefeated in league play, made it all the way to the CIF Southern Section finals and advanced to the regional semifinals of the state tournament.

Ontario Christian, now 37-2, will play El Capitan Tuesday in the state regional final. The Knights also defeated Paloma Valley in the CIF-SS championship match Nov. 3.
