Kids invited to send Letters to Santa through Menifee 24/7

Menifee 24/7 has announced a fun activity for the children of Menifee to participate in and share with others this holiday season.

In an age-old tradition, kids are invited to write a Letter to Santa. We ask parents to forward these letters to us and we will share as many as we can with our readers before passing them along to St Nick. We ask that children do more than simply write a Christmas shopping list, however.

We’d like to read the greetings the kids have for Santa, what they like about Christmas, how their family will celebrate, etc. Letters must be handwritten by the child (toddlers can get parents’ help). We encourage them to be colorful and include drawings if desired.

Children should include their name and age. Parents should write a contact phone number on the back of the letter.

We will publish selected letters in our Dec. 15 newspaper. In addition, we will pick our three favorite letters. Those children and their families will be invited to a private visit with Santa on the set of Good Morning Menifee.

Deadline for submissions is Dec. 10. There are two ways to enter:

-- Mail letters to Menifee 24/7, 27070 Sun City Blvd., Menifee CA 92586.

-- Drop off letters at the City of Menifee Community Services Office, 29995 Evans Road in Menifee.

Electronic submissions will not be accepted.
