Hemet man dies in crash on Highway 74 in Romoland

A Hemet man died in a two-vehicle collision early Monday on Highway 74 just west of Menifee Road, authorities said.

The Coroner's Office identified Ricardo Murillo Sandoval, 22, as the victim in the accident, which took place at 1:50 a.m. Both vehicles overturned and Sandoval was trapped in his vehicle. Three patients were transported to a local hospital -- two with moderate injuries and one with minor injuries.

The Sheriff's Department is investigating the cause of the accident.
