The Oct. 17 edition of the Menifee 24/7 newspaper is now available free at locations throughout the city, including City Hall, Sun City Library and many restaurants and businesses.
This edition includes special coverage of the local ballot measures Menifee residents will be voting on. We explain Measures W, I and J and present pro and con arguments for each. These measures involve funding for a new high school, the mayor's position on City Council and term limits for council members. You will want to read this informative section of our newspaper.
This issue offers much more, including:
-- A tribute to Jake Drost, the 14-year-old Paloma Valley High School freshman who died Oct. 5.
-- A look back at the early days of the City of Menifee, which celebrates its 10th birthday this month.
-- The return of our "Hometown Heroes" feature, with new staff writer Tommie Brown taking over the feature.
-- The latest news on the Mt. San Jacinto College football team, which is undefeated this season.
