County officials honor Menifee residents for volunteer service

Four Menifee residents were honored for their community service Wednesday at the second annual Riverside County 5th District Volunteer Appreciation Awards ceremony.
Gloria Sanchez received the Senior Community Lifetime Achievement Award. A longtime resident of Menifee, Sanchez is chair of the Menifee Senior Advisory Committee. She advocates for senior and community residents at the local and regional level and is a candidate for Menifee City Council.
Marty Rosen received the Parks & Trails Lifetime Achievement Award. He is a member of the City of Menifee's Parks, Recreation & Trails Commission.
Patricia Jones was honored for her volunteer service with Hospice of the Valleys, which she has served since 1995.
Anahi Rodriguez was also honored for her volunteer service. She has volunteered more than 100 hours with the City of Menifee, Boys & Girls Club and Santa Rosa Academy.
The event was held at the Moreno Valley Conference and Recreation Center. Menifee Mayor Pro Tem Lesa Sobek and City Council member Greg August were among those presenting awards.
