Two touchdowns in fourth quarter costly in Heritage loss

Redlands East Valley High scored 12 points in the fourth quarter to wipe out a 6-0 deficit and hand Heritage its first loss of the football season Friday night, 12-6.

Heritage (2-1) scored with five minutes left in the first quarter on a 5-yard run by Ika Tuatala. That followed a 60-yard run by quarterback Trey Goodlow. The game remained 6-0 until Isaiah Holiness ran 13 yards for the game-tying score for REV with about 8 minutes left in the game.

With about 5 minutes remaining, Jalen Livingston ran 36 yards for a REV touchdown, making the score 12-6. A REV interception of a Heritage pass moments later sealed the victory for the Wildcats, who also are 2-1 this season.

Heritage is at home against Orange Lutheran Sept. 14 in its next game.
