Historical Assn. meeting will celebrate legacy of Rural Center

Did you know that this building on Haun Road near Garbani Road used to be THE gathering spot in the Menifee Valley?

The public is invited to the meeting of the Menifee Valley Historical Association Sept. 15 at 9:30 a.m. at this Antelope-Menifee Rural Center, located at 31850 Haun Road, to hear about the history of the center's two locations. The Rural Center is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.

A Power Point presentation and narration will talk about the beginnings of the center as well as the dances, dinners, scout meetings, auxiliary gatherings and all the events that have taken place over the years. Some still do today.
