The Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce is part of a cooperative effort to collect donations for those affected by the Holy Fire burning out of control near Lake Elsinore. More than 20,000 people are under mandatory evacuation order as the fire spreads.
Those wishing to donate items may bring them to the Chamber of Commerce office, 28737 New Hub Drive, Suite 102 in Menifee, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday. The following items are needed:
-- Gently used and new clothes
-- Sealed bottles of water
-- Non-perishable food items
-- Blankets
-- Unused toiletries
-- Dog food
-- Cat food
Meanwhile, the Corona Chamber of Commerce released information on donation efforts coordinated by private organizations to assist the firefighters battling the Holy Fire. Details are in the flier below:
