First responders quickly put out fire in Quail Valley yard

Firefighters responded quickly and contained a small fire within about 20 minutes outside a residence in the Quail Valley community in Menifee Tuesday night.

The fire was reported at 6:07 p.m. in the 23200 block of Biggs Lane near Vista Way, right on the border of Quail Valley and Canyon Lake, according to fire officials. Six engine companies with 24 firefighters responded and contained the fire to a shed and 1/16 acre of vegetation. Containment was announced at 6:35 p.m.

No injuries were reported and there was no damage to the residence reported. Cause of the fire was not released.
