UPDATE: Trysten Farias and Joshua Corona have returned home safely. We have posted an updated story.
A Menifee family is asking for help in locating a 14-year-old girl who has been missing since Wednesday night.
Trysten Farias (shown at left) disappeared some time after 10:30 p.m. from a residence in the 27200 block of Sawyer Road, near Chester Morrison Elementary School, said her father, Frank Farias. She was wearing a long sleeve black shirt and Snoopy pajamas. She has long dark hair and wears glasses.
According to Frank Farias, Trysten disappeared from a friend's house where she had spent the night on Wednesday. The Riverside Sheriff's Department confirmed that they received the report of a "juvenile runaway" about 6 a.m. Thursday but provided no other details.
Later, a woman posted on the Menifee 24/7 Facebook page that Trysten had had been at her home Thursday afternoon with the woman's son. Meredith Corona wrote that her son, 15-year-old Joshua Corona (right), and Trysten had left through a bedroom window and run away before the mother realized the girl had been reported missing.
Both Frank Farias and Meredith Corona said they have been unable to reach their children via cell phone.
If you have any information about these missing juveniles, contact the Sheriff's Department at 951-210-1000 or call Frank Farias at 619-665-9191.
