Heritage High School Athletes of the Week: May 9

Menifee 24/7 honors area high school athletes for their accomplishments. Coaches of each sport are invited to submit one athlete per week for recognition. Here are this week's honorees from Heritage High School:

James Duran has a 5-2 record and 3.11 ERA as as a pitcher for the Patriots baseball team, which went into Wednesday's game with a 17-6 record (11-2 overall).

Track and field standout Jessina Morales won the girls 800 and 1,600 meters at the Sunbelt League finals as a freshman.
