Community members came together to support their community at the 6th annual Menifee Better Together event on Saturday.
Volunteers worked together doing various cleanup and beautification projects in the city.
"We have businesses that have come together," said Mayor Pro Tem Lesa Sobek, "but I have to say, our real heroes are you, are volunteers. We couldn’t do it without you…"
More than 700 people helped with the various projects. Groups such as JROTC and Girl Scouts also joined the event.
"This one day means so much to so many in so many ways … it touches those not only receiving a gift but those giving it as well," said Menifee City Council member Greg August.
"There will be 39 home revitalization projects this year, the most ever."
Some of the projects included senior home revitalization in Sun City, flower potting, Quail Valley cleanup, and Bel Air Estates cleanup.
Refreshments were provided by Miller-Jones Mortuary and Crematory and Evans Brown Mortuaries.
