Toddler in moderate condition after near drowning in bathtub

Paramedics revived a toddler who was found unconscious and submerged in a bathtub in a Menifee home Monday morning, authorities said.

Emergency personnel were called to a residence in the 29000 block of Avenida de Real at 10:45 a.m. after family members pulled the toddler from the water. Paramedics were able to revive the child's breathing and the patient was transported to an area hospital in moderate condition, according to a Fire Department news release.

The toddler, who was not identified, was alert and oriented at the time of transport.
