Heritage student concert to support Community Cupboard

A Heritage High School student has organized a musical concert to help collect food items for the Menifee Valley Community Cupboard.

The event, created by Skylar Duron, will begin at 7 p.m. on April 20 in the Heritage High School Theater, 26000 Briggs Road. There is no cash cost for admission; the only cost is is two or more cans of non-perishable food items.

"Throughout the year they're able to feed 670 families, but they reach a food recession during the summertime since there aren't major holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas," Duron said about the Community Cupboard. "With that said, I decided to create a concert, for my NHS Individual Service Project, to collect and donate goods towards their program. We hope to get at least 200 non-perishable goods, but more is always appreciated!"

A representative of the Community Cupboard will be the featured speaker. Students scheduled to perform are:
