Unique look at an iconic structure in Menifee

John Moya takes his photography seriously, as he explained in his efforts to get the perfect shot of the windmill at Countryside Marketplace at Haun Road and Newport Road.

"I have been passing this view driving over the 215 Freeway bridge on Newport Road on my way to the gym during the week and have been studying a way to capture this image without the parking lot clutter," John said. "I decided to go with a silhouette and also needed clouds to fill the sky along with wind to pick up speed to capture the windmill in motion."

John took this photo with his Olympus travel camera. He is now eligible for the Photo of the Month award in our "Menifee in Pictures" contest.
